Today, tomorrow, and Saturday, four honors faculty and I will be attending a conference in Durham on Undergraduate Research. Our hope is to come back with a set of ideas that can be used to support faculty and students from the very beginnings of the research process through its ultimate culmination in the Senior Honors Thesis. Building work into the curriculum that will aid students through the writing of the thesis has become a priority as we see an increased emphasis nationally on undergraduate research for admission to graduate school.
